Say “FAREWELL” To Diets

It’s time to say FAREWELL™ to diets and chronic health problems! Stop torturing yourself by going on starvation and other fad diets to lose or gain weight, lower your cholesterol, control your blood sugar, etc. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, as chronic “yo-yo” dieters often do, expecting different results. The problem isn’t you; it’s what you’ve been doing. Instead of going on a diet or relying on drugs, what’s needed are the right tools and support so that you can reach your goals and feel better.

We are in the midst of a global health crisis, including an epidemic of obesity. It is estimated that two-thirds of the American population is overweight and more than one-third of these individuals are obese. Along with this excess weight comes many other health concerns such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, fatty liver, heart disease, cancer, depression, and the list goes on.

Many of our children are also obese and are developing the same health issues as overweight adults. Type 2 Diabetes, which was once called Adult Onset Diabetes, is now being seen in children as young as 9 and 10 years old. These same children have arteries filled with fatty plaque that look like arteries of a 40 or 50 year old, and many will need a liver transplant by the time they are young adults if they do not change their eating habits.

Stress: Recent studies reveal that stress is a key contributing factor in inflammation which contributes to obesity, chronic heart disease and a host of other illnesses. Learning how to manage stress can play an important role in improving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
